One of Us takes The Crown
“These events may have taken place 60 years ago, but they still feel very current because of the iconic locations and imagery involved, and so attention to detail was central to our approach in each and every shot. We were there to enhance the locations and sets with scale and authenticity, ensuring the VFX sat comfortably on screen.”
One of Us Creates a Crowning Glory for The Crown

VFX Fit for a Queen
The 3D crown jewel for the series was in fact Buckingham Palace, a 3D model comprising 202,333 polygons. “We had many scenes across the series of people driving in and out of Buckingham Palace, and it’s not possible to get access to film at the actual location.”
VFX and post-production of The Crown
“The Crown is pretty accurate in its depiction of what happened in real life. We carefully referenced the archive throughout to ensure that we were getting the correct look for things and that we were accurately matching the layout of people in Westminster Abbey.”
