One of Us is looking for a Data Wrangler to join the team in Soho, London . Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organised must have attention to detail and the ability to track and document all data coming into and leaving the office. You must be a self-motivated team player with good communication skills.
You will be working in a collaborative and welcoming environment within a friendly community of experienced and creative supervisors, leads and artists of all disciplines.
To manage the rendering of all shots in production
Verify that all resources are fully utilized
Ensure all rendering equipment/software is fully functional at all times
Identify, report, and find solutions to technical rendering and composition errors
Alert artists to any and all problems with renders
Monitor/Prioritise jobs in the render queue according to project requirements
Download and upload data as per production requests
Create the correct show deliverables as per the tech spec of that show
Manage data both online, near line and offline, archive and restore data via the tape robot
Keep production informed of all task status and advise about any potential conflicts or delays
Various other tech duties like monitoring disk spaces, creating and management of ftp sites, monitor calibration etc
Skills and Experience
Capacity to take responsibility and ability to manage and prioritize time and workload
Ability to learn new software quickly, and learn on the job
Ability to analyse and problem solve
Ability to record information accurately and produce reports
Experience of linux , scripting and directory structure.
Knowledge of Aspera, signiant, ftp and other digital delivery systems
Use of tape robots for restore and archival procedures.
Previous working experience with Qube is desirable but not essential
Basic knowledge of film and related processes
Strong desire to work in film post production
